A MIGHTY HEART ( 55FICTION #8 )

 

IN THE  DARK  RAINY  NIGHT, HE STOOD ALONE, HUNGRY, COLD & WET.  

ON THE  DESERTED ROAD, WITH A SINKING HEART,  HE CRIED OUT AGAIN.
A LIGHT CAME ON & A DOOR OPENED. 

SHE WALKED TOWARD HIM,  AND WRAPPED A TOWEL AROUND  HIM .

SHE GENTLY PICKED UP THE PUP AND TOOK HIM  INTO HER HOME.

PS: This was inspired  from a programme I saw on TV yesterday evening , about  a kind hearted lady Roxanne Davur who has a shelter/home ,at Karjat (Maharashtra)  for stray/ abandoned  animals , she has 80dogs, a dozen cats a couple of horses, donkeys & a pig. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y3hf0EDmuqo

THAT LI’L DOLL

The first time I saw her with a twinkle

In her li’l  eye

I knew she was something I’d live for

Or even die

The first time she closed her little hand

Around my little finger

I knew that the special feeling

Will always linger

The first time I heard a li’l voice

Like sleigh bells ringing

The first time I heard her cry

As if an angel was singing

The first time I touched her,

She felt as soft as velvet

The first time, I carried her, in my arms

That feeling I can never forget

The first time she uttered dad-da

I knew I was a slave at her command

I knew I could beg borrow or steal

To fulfill all her little demands

Then the day came when she took her first step   

All by  her own

I was amazed at how in just one year

That  li’l doll had grown ………….

And now she’s 21

Ready to take the world in her stride

Ready to follow her own dreams

And I wish her all the best,

As my heart swells with love & pride

Happy Birthday  My Li’l Girl !!!

Between you and me

There have been heartaches

There has been pain

There has been sun shine

& there has been rain

Between you and me….

There have been sleepless nights

But there have been beautiful dreams

There have been soft whispers

And there have been screams

Between you and me….

There has been smooth sailing

And there have been ups and downs

Sometimes we were monsters

And moments we were clowns

There have been promises

Some broken, some kept

There have been plans completed

And some plans still left

Between you and me….

There have been moments of silence

And moments we would brood

We’ve been kind & gentle

And  sometimes very rude

Between you & me….

We’ve seen stormy weather

And we’ve seen rainbows

We’ve seen a few mountains

And walked a few seashores

Between you and me….

This life of ours has been both

A little bit of  Heaven and sometimes Hell

But I believe in “ all’s well

If it ends well ”

Between you and me….

There has been fun & laughter

And there have been tears

But there has always been Love

All through these years

Between you and me…..

 

Let us walk  through life’s journey

As if it’s just child’s play

and at the end  this is all I hope and I pray

That love will always stay

Between you & me

What you mean to me………

Some times we spend a life time

In search of some thing we desire

And sometimes before we realise it

We get more than we could, aspire

It’s strange how sometimes total strangers

Suddenly become your best friends

As if guided by some invisible  force

One receives signals, the other sends

I sometimes look back and try to remember

My life before it revolved around you

And then I realise that my life

Only began from the day I found you

I can never think of us being apart  

Since the day I gave my heart to you

Nights and days are never complete

Unless they end and start with you

I was lucky that I found you

So proud that you were the girl for me

If there is paradise, than it must be something like

What you’ve made my world for me

I doubt if you could ever understand

What you always, really mean to me

Filling my life with love & happiness

A magic wand, that’s what you’ve been to me

So keep the love-light burning in your heart

And keep your radiant smile on your face

Cause when there’s   love in your heart

Age will never manage, to steal your grace

On this very special day (your 50^th birth day )

There is something I wish to say

I wish you live to be a hundred

And young at heart you always stay

And I want to thank you for that day

When you accepted to be my wife

For always being there for me, on this journey

And for meaning more to me, than life

Just remember, never let doubt, ever

Come between our relationship

Let love and happiness

Always reign our companionship

Stranger ? ( 55FICTION # 7 )

 

The stranger stares at me, a question in his eyes

And somehow I know, I can’t tell him lies

He can see right into my heart and soul

He knows my pain even if tears don’t roll

I try to smile, but it’s all in vain

So I  turn away from the mirror, once again.

She’s so cool………

It was a hot & sultry summer evening.

I picked her up on my way back home.

She was what  I needed to take my mind of things

& make me forget the  heat.

 I glanced  at her, as she sat in the seat next to me

as I drove home, in my car.

I could see the  beads of sweat  glistening on her body.

Yet she was so cool.

We reached home & I couldn’t wait any longer .

I wasted no time,

I held her by the waist , and lifted her up,

 my lips on hers .

 and my thirst was instantly quenched,

 as I sipped from the bottle of iced tea.

She waits for me.
She’s all  alone.

While I’m away ,

She feels all empty ,

As if the only purpose of her existence,

has been, having me between her arms.

She’s complete when I’m with her.

I close my eyes , feeling  totally  relaxed, in her soft comfort.

She’s always been my favourite chair.
