It was love at first sight for him
He knew this, the moment he saw her
Her beauty was so mesmerizing
He couldn’t, help but love & adore her
He loved her & he lived, only for her
A desire so strong, it kept burning within him
And although she never seemed to realise it
There was this strange chemistry between them
There were others who loved him
Who needed his love & warmth to feel secure
But this one sided love of his, was his destiny
He only existed for her, of this he was so sure
She must have noticed him at times
Or at least sensed that he has, always been around
Ready to dry her tears and put an end to her fears
Silently taking care of her without uttering a sound
But it didn’t matter to him that
She showed neither love for him, nor gratitude
He will always love her for what she really is
No matter what she did, he never felt she was rude
So he was content, just watching her
Keeping his distance, keeping his control
He knew just one step closer to her
Would completely destroy her, body and soul
This is what unconditional love is all about
Just giving & expecting nothing in return
Seeing that the one you love, blossoms & grows
Even if you are in agony, always having to burn
Since the day they came in to existence
It has always been a one sided affair
We know that the earth cannot survive
Without the sun’s warmth, love and care
