Yes, I love her

She’s always been there for me
As long as I can remember
And I’ve always loved her
All through the years, from Jan to December

She opens one eye every morning and looks at me
And I know my day is going to be bright
And at the end of each day, I see her so calm, so peaceful
I close my eyes to dream, knowing every thing is going to be all-right

I’ve seen all her true colours, her moods and faces,
some  times dark and miserable, sometimes lonely and blue
and I’d be lying if I say it didn’t affect me, because it does
but I’m lost, and I  know, there is nothing I could do

I’ve seen her crying her heart out, as if a dam has broken
She weeps and cries, not holding back a single tear
When it's all over, she feels so light hearted and so calm
I know she’s going to smile again, and soon a rainbow will appear

I know she'll  always be there for me
Looking down at me from above
It’s some thing I can feel, but can not explain
But then I think I understand, that it’s only love

And if I said I didn’t think about her or love her
Then that surely would be  my biggest lie
I don’t know the reason, but yes, I really love her
No matter what’s the season, I love the beautiful, sky

  1. Beautifully written Dad!
While reading the lines, I thought they were written for Mumma - they fit her and the chemistry you both share so perfectly! I was in for a big surprise towards the end :D
Even I love the sky very much, and I am always awed by its splendor! I always say that the sky is a canvas which is painted and decorated by Mother Nature using myriad colors and wonderful elements like clouds, stars, planets et al. It's like a work of art that's worthy of appreciation, but not many have the time or the inclination to stop and look up, and admire the sight. Thankfully Nature is an artist whose ego doesn't get hurt for the lack of much appreciation and continues refurbising her fantabulous creation each and every moment!
This post is like an RL Stevenson poem describing nature (without giving any clue about the subject, though) with an O. Henry style suspense ending!
    Keep them coming :)

  2. Needless to say, beautifully written with all the suspense in it and ‎fooled me right till the end . I (such a vain person that I am) was ‎really touched to think that how much you love me and how many ‎posts you are going to dedicate to me??. Well, so much for bloated ‎out self importance. It all went flat at the end of the post. But to ‎be honest, unexpected and I really really enjoyed the end more ‎than anything else. Very fitting to a person who loves suspense and ‎thriller. I agree with you totally that Sky is all the things you have ‎described and more. It is lovely to watch and behold at every ‎moment, whatever her mood may be. She is beautiful at all times ‎beyond comparison and I too love to sit for hours watching her ‎change moods and colours.. Very ell written as usual, in your own ‎style of rhymes and simple yet lovely verses. Loved it(even if I ‎was a bit disappointed??). Keep writing. ‎

  3. The post held me in suspense right till the last. The description of sky was very nice and accurate. You write beautifully in poetry form and I think it is a gift from God that you write so well. I enjoyed it. Keep writing. Looking forward to your next post.

  4. It's all dreamy and blue on a beautiful summer day...filled with clouds floating by and shifting here and there, as they will for us to look up at them, interpret them and just stare as they pass by...all dark and gray and formidable during storms like it's having one of those mood swings :)...fresh and lively during light heavenly drizzles...everyday offering the wonder of a sunset...the beauty of the moon and countless stars offering us just as many stories...It's like the sky has a life of it's own, isn't that just the poetry of nature? The same poetry that you write? Loved it...and yeah, the suspense that everyone's mentioning...too good. At first, You fooled me too thinking it was another poem capturing the beauty of our mother:D, turned out it was capturing that of Mother nature's :):):):D

    Eagerly waiting for more...

  5. A tranquil, blue sky is really a priceless gift from the nature.
"A thing of beauty is a joy forever"!!
A beautiful way to start the day!!:-) The magical power of your poetry really makes my day bright!:-) Another 'thrilling' yet joyful, expressive yet emotional post! It seems, you have really mastered the art of 'keeping people guessing' till the last line!! Your posts have the power to evoke its readers to clearly visualize your thoughts. They beautifully weave together the meta-physical aspects of human emotions with the serenity of nature. Waiting for more...:-)

  6. Wowowow !! I kept on thinking it was for your special person until i reached the last line..

Feelings Wonderfully masqueraded .. You are turning out to be a pro in keeping the readers guessing till the very end :)

I am in love with the sky. Truly. Madly. Deeply. This affair has been there ever since I can remember. The sky has been my source of solace, an inspiration and a pillar of strength. I subconsciously keep looking up to see the sky whenever possible and each and every time I am awed by the beautiful piece of art that Nature paints up on the canvas of sky.

The sky is an object of my admiration and I never get tired of singing praises of it. The numerous pics that I click of the sky, cant do justice to the actual beauty that it is.
