Almost six years after, our son was born
Life seemed complete, but God had another plan
And though it was not what we could foresee
We have always known, God is greater than man
And on the eve of 22 September 1991
When it was just a little after eight
The sky was filled with stars, and one fell
Yes, a star fell from heaven’s open gate
It seemed like a miracle
A star so small but yet so bright
She brightened our whole world
She brightened the beautiful night
The first time I looked at her in my arms
She opened her eyes and searched my face
Her little fingers wrapped around my thumb
I saw her smile, as my heart began to race
She was so tiny so beautiful,
She filled my heart with boundless joy
For now God had given us
A little doll , our own new toy
As time passed by, her crying & her cooing,
Filled each day and filled each night
And the sounds of her baby talk & laughter
Made the whole world around us seem al-right
I remember when she cried at night time
All she wanted was for me to sing her a, lullaby
I would pick her up, and sing her favourite one
“ A fallen star that’s what you are… ”as the night went by
Yes, we realised that our family was complete
With two kids, a boy and a girl
And we were proud parents of two special gems
One was a diamond and the other a pearl
She has stolen every one’s hearts
With her beauty and charm
With her lovely big eyes, and sweet smile
Even a mean heart, she could disarm
And now 20 years have gone by
And she’s bloomed in to a beautiful young lady
She still fills my heart with pride and joy
For me she’ll always remain my sweet li'l baby
Within her she has special gifts, special talents
In her heart she has a source of dreams
And in her mind she has the strength to fulfil
Each one, no matter how hard it seems
Within her she has an ideal, her own belief
She could be an inspiration to today’s youth
She’s a promise to achievement, that will be kept
She has the conviction, the strength, the truth
In her eyes you can see the strength
To meet the world , on her own terms
She will fulfil all our hopes& dreams
This, her spirit & confidence, confirms
Within her we see, a promise of the future
She is something, so precious and rare
We believe in her, we know she’s special

The star , thankfully came to meet me too. Well, the formal entry was made on 11th aug. 2009 but i had a closer look on 5th jul. 2010 and till now i am in awe... I must say this- She's my lucky charm, literally she is!

Oh my God Dad! I read it again in the seclusion of my room and I really don't know what to say...I'm speechless and all emotional and weepy!
ReplyDeleteI always knew that whatever I do, you and Mumma will be proud of me and both of you'll love me no matter what...but reading this was more than I could take :) When you read it to me in the afternoon, I was feeling so proud of myself because you felt proud of me and I felt honored, really! I mean, my hard-to-please dad praising me, guess I really must be something special,huh? :p :D
Whatever I am is because of you guys, and I know that you'll always be biased, always see me as a much better person than I am. No matter how many years pass and how time catches up with us, I'll always be your baby. I have no desire to stop being that and I intend to see that no one else takes that spot!:/ I thank all the other stars so fervently for letting go of me and letting me fall into the arms of the most perfect couple, the most loving parents ever :*

This composition takes the cake amongst all others - it is simply BEAUTIFUL! And the fallen star it is about means the world to me too. She's the apple of our eyes, she's a gem of a person, a sweetheart, my crazy diamond, my baby sister <3

This one is a very very special post for me. I wanted you to write about the miracle in our life and the gift of God and the fallen star. Thanks Johnu, for doing this . Yes, I know that writing about our fallen star is very complicated. You can go on and on writing about her and pages and pages will not be sufficient . But you have done justice to the lovely young lady, who is the center of our universe. I could have added a lot of things of her childhood and adult hood. Her gem like qualities, her pure heart and her caring and helping hands, her heart always ready to come to her loved ones aid and so loyal and yet so will strong. Such a darling child at times and such a grandmother at others. So romantic and yet so down to earth and practical. So stubborn and yet so unselfish at times. She is a book , a novel , a mystery and a interesting encyclopedia all by herself. Just thinking about her make my heart fill with pride and love for her and eys fill with tears of joy and I can’t help thanking God for this little miracle , this little fallen star who has come to our lives to brighten it and fill it with laughter and joy and love.
